Warranty - Manufacturing & Installation

 

At The Shed Store, Harrogate, we take pride in the quality of our timber garden sheds and our installation service.

We provide a six month warranty from the date of installation covering faults arising directly from the manufacturing or installation process.

During this period, any such faults will be repaired or rectified at no additional cost.

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear

• Natural timber movement, shrinkage, or expansion

• Weathering or cosmetic changes

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance

• Damage caused by extreme weather conditions or ground movement

• Alterations or repairs carried out by third parties

This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

Payment Terms

 

• A 10% deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking.

• The deposit forms part of the total contract price.

• The remaining balance is payable on the day of installation, once the shed has been installed.

 

Installation Requirements

 

Sub-Base

• Customers must provide a solid, stable, and level sub-base prior to installation.

• Suitable bases include concrete, paving slabs, or equivalent.

• The sub-base must be level in all directions and suitable for the shed and supplied timber base.

Working Space

• A minimum clear perimeter of 300mm is required around all sides of the base to allow safe installation.

Access & Safety

• Clear and safe access to the installation area must be provided.

• The area must be free from obstacles, debris, overhanging branches, and animal mess (e.g. dog fouling).

• Pets and children must be kept clear of the installation area during works.

Sub-Base Issues & Additional Work

If the sub-base is found to be uneven or unsuitable on arrival, we will advise before proceeding.

Minor remedial work may be carried out at the customer ’ s request and may incur an additional charge of up to £250.

If the base cannot reasonably be corrected on the day, installation may be postponed.

 

Liability

The Shed Store, Harrogate cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from:

Unsuitable or poorly prepared sub-bases

Ground movement or settlement

Failure to maintain the shed correctly

Factors outside our reasonable control

Our liability is limited to repair or replacement of the shed or timber base where appropriate.

 

Acceptance of Terms

 

Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
